I followed your link from a comment you left on my blog back in August - we picked up our daughter a week before your picked up yours. <3

Our 6 month mark has made me realize we had more 'issues' than I thought. So, here we are now at 7 months home and realizing we have some very real issues. Not where we thought or assumed we would be, for sure. But... we move on.

A friend of mine told me that for attachment issues, one has to take at LEAST half the age of the child - and that is the amount of time for the HARD WORK of attachment. So a child who is 5 years old will need about 2.5 years of HARD WORK on attachment. It's a long haul, and it's tough to work through day in and day out.
