Today I found out the gender of the baby my sister-in-law is carrying. I'm not sure if it's public knowledge yet, though, so the secret is safe with me until I know otherwise from her.
We also JUST received an e-mail from our wonderful caseworker at our adoption agency that our homestudy is approved. FINALLY! Woo Hoo and all that!
I also have my first dose of what it feels like to be so excited and not able to immediately share it with my husband. He's sleeping at the moment. He has training commencing in the wee hours of the morning so no phone calls for a couple days. I plan to text him anyway just in case he checks his phone before he leaves for his training mission.
I am over the MOON excited because this is a significant milestone. It means we can complete our application file with USCIS. It also means we can apply for adoption grants. Additionally, it means our next step in this process is an official referral of our waiting little girl.
Over. The. Moon!
Oh, a big congratulations to you! Finishing up that home study IS a very big deal! Yay! I'm excited for you! And also, I'd like to know the gender of the baby. Even though I don't know the mommy, I just like knowing things about babies in general. : )
Yay for homestudies!
